The infinite silence seemed to siphon away all of my worries. As I drifted in the vastness of space, I stared at the gleaming surface of the Juno station in the distance. As it rotated, its gleaming hull reflected a distorted image of Earth. There were many times in my life when I felt inferior to "normal" people. They way they looked at me, whispered behind my back, pointed and commented. This was not one of those times. Looking down, I could see my bare feet, the day-glow orange jumpsuit I wore, and the tether harness that connected me back to my vessel. I didn't need a spacesuit or a helmet. This was a time they could envy me. Out here they would be the "alien." Out here, they would have to protect themselves from the hostile environment of hard vacuum.
